The HR Decision Points an Employment Law Master’s Degree Trains You to Handle
Wednesday, June 24 | 2:00 PM ET
Presented by Saru Matambanadzo, Moise S. Steeg Associate Professor of Law, Tulane University School of Law
Religious accommodation requests sit at the intersection of employee rights, operational realities and legal compliance. One inconsistent decision, missing document or overlooked process step can transform a routine HR matter into a formal EEOC charge.
In this faculty-led session, Professor Saru Matambanadzo will examine the HR decision points that determine whether a workplace issue is resolved internally or escalates into costly legal exposure. Attendees will explore how legal training equips HR professionals to recognize risk earlier and approach accommodation requests with a more informed lens.

What HR Leaders Miss
Wednesday, July 22 | 2:00 PM ET
Presented by Andrea James, Esq., Adjunct Professor, Tulane University School of Law
Sex and gender discrimination claims rarely begin and end with the initial complaint. For HR leaders, retaliation risk often emerges in the spaces between—during investigations, in routine communications, throughout performance management and in the follow-up steps that come weeks or months later. Knowing where that risk lives is essential to protecting both employees and the organization.
In this webinar, Adjunct Professor Andrea James will share the retaliation risks HR leaders most often overlook and explain how employment law fluency strengthens decision-making during sensitive matters.
